We have only owned the umbrella for a few weeks, so cannot mediate on lasting quality. It was simple to place collectively, looks very nice and gives excellent shades. Simple to chat positions. We did not use the stand that came with it, since we had a stand leftover from another umbrella that we liked better. (A water filled stand). We get heavy winds in our area, and so far have closed the umbrella under windy conditions.
