This item is made very well. It is heavy duty, with a very nice black matte end. The door opens and closes easily, with a magnetic closure. This is a fantastic feature to insure that it remains closed in terrible weather. The mailbox is a fantastic size. It fits on the standard mailbox street stand, yet has ample room for any mail overflow. I recommend this mailbox highly.

I had looked for a decently made cast aluminum rural mailbox on the ‘net on several occasions, and had always come up with any what appeared to be very lightweight, inexpensive models, or very robust cast models that cost more than I wanted to spend. While I’m sure the expensive mailboxes are really nice, I just didn’t want to end up spending several hundred dollars for two mailboxes and a post. On my last quest, I came across this mailbox on Amazon. I must say, I am *extremely* pleased with this product. It is a substantial mailbox, no inexpensive sheet metal here! The magnetic door fastener seems strong but not so much that it is hard to disengage. The piano hinge is smooth and should serve well for many years. The flag operates smoothly, no wobbling or play in its hinge and feels like it will stay place. The overall quality is just brilliant, and at a price point that didn’t break the bank. I highly recommend this mailbox to anyone that wants a solid, affordable, and attractive rural mailbox. Kudos to Amazon and the manufacturer for a fantastic product!!!

Very well made, heavy duty, and the magnetic door catch will make sure the lid never gets blown open in the wind/rain. Made in the USA!

Excellent quality, nice construction. Tip to make it last longer, every 6 months do this: use car wax on inside and out end, spray flag pivot and piano hinge with WD-40
