I want to rate this product but as you can see there are no stars because I can’t rate something I don’t have! Jack Tool Shed [supplier] has not sent it by the specified date and I found out that when they said it was in stock on Amazon that it was not. They even waited until Jan. ^ to tell me that they would ship it when it was in stock. Perhaps I’ll ammend this review if I EVER receive the product.

I haven’t really used it but when I took it out of the box and tried to mount it, it seemed kind of cheap; the arm with the springs, that is. It was just to try it because I was curious, but it still needs to go to its intended permanent location. I haven’t used the magnifier yet. Maybe it’s a small early to make a judgment, but the first depression is not very excellent.

I don’t care a total lot for the lamp. First of all, it was broken right out of the box. The small nub that holds a tension spring came rolling out of the box after I took the lamp out. I super-glued it collectively. It’s a cheap over priced tool.

The ad said it was UL listed..I could not find a categorize on the item (made in China) or on the box. The lens is foggy. I won’t buy from the vendor again.

The lamp I received had a broken fake housing for the magnifying lens and bulb. The magnifying lens was not in the housing so I had to place it in myself where I found the alignment nibs for the lens clamps broken off. The magnifying lens had some severe discoloration at its center and was also terribly scratched. The lamp was returned for a refund.

I do not recommend this poorly designed desk lamp. The clamps that are supposed to hold the arms, and the lamp itself, are too weak and under-designed… so the lamp won’t stay in position.

The magnifying lens is of poor optical quality. small objects being magnified need to be went around in order to find an area of schooner lacking distortions and aberrations.

The black fake lamp enclosure, when warm from use, causes a white powdery film to appear on it’s exterior. Looks like some chemical in the fake is “cooking out” from the like of the bulb in normal operation. I continuously clean the lamp housing, but it just keeps coming back.

A certain NO on this lamp.

The price is cheap, and so is the lamp…
