Smooth slide and stable power control. The only problem I have is that the lamp has a noise when the dimmer slide is not at the MAX position. But, I do not reckon it is the problem of a dimmer. I am saying that it is not a built-in dimmer of the original product, so you should be careful of using it especially with the high-power devices. In overall, it works very excellent.

I like this lamp dimmer. The black is so much better than the white or cream color because in time, those tend to be converted into very dingy looking. This looks sleek and works well. It helps to not only make a mood, but prepare me for sleep, which I have problems with. It also helps me to prepare my toddler for sleep. I have 1 in practically every room.

I have a desktop and a stump lamp in my theater room and was in desperate need of a dimming solution. These are perfect. You just plug one end into the receptacle and the plug the lamp into these. Built-in is a 6 foot extension enabling you to place the dimmer switch near you for simple access. These work perfectly, are inexpensive and now I can dim the light from my seat.

I have used these dimmers for controlling the stump lamp lights in the bedrooms for years. Hang them over the top of the headboard and they are always within reach.
