I bought this for my sister who has a vision problem and was very pleased that the lamp was sturdy with a heavy base and was simple to adjust to different reading positions. It also can be run on batteries which is very convenient when you want to go it to different areas.
I may but one for myself for craftwork.

This is a fantastic combination lamp/magnifier, any for crafters or for those whose vision needs enhancement to read.
It is simple to place collectively and honestly sturdy… not the sturdiest, but for the price it is terrific.

My 86 year ancient mom has tried multiple hand held magnifiers over the years, some lighted, some not, in her efforts to keep reading after a diagnosis of dry macular degeneration. We chose to try this lamp due to the combination of LED lights, gooseneck positioning, and the strength of the magnifier.
In the month since the light was delivered my mom’s life has expanded. She likes this light. With her hands free, she can work her large-print crosswords puzzles and is even reading magazines again. We are thrilled with the light and are so grateful that her quality of life is better because of it.
Our one wish for improvement with this light would be for a more weighty base for stability.
